MAI commenced direct flights between Yangon and Penang, Malaysia on 10 Apr 2025 (Thu) in line with its strategic plan to promote Myanmar as a key destination.

The launching ceremony of the new route occurs at Yangon International Airport. MAI warmly welcomed the passengers with flower garlands upon arrival.
