Yes a valid passport and a visa are required to
enter Myanmar.
A visa can be obtained at the local Union of Myanmar
Embassy (or at the Union of Myanmar Embassy in

The tourist visa and processing fee cost USD $30 and
can be purchased by using a Visa credit card and by
submitting the necessary information as requested at
this web site. Visas normally require about two
working days to process and are valid for 90 days
from the approval date.
