What should I do if I want
to travel today?
First decide on your travel dates and then check our
flight schedules to find the best date and route to
fly. You can also find a list of MAI offices and
agents that sell MAI's tickets here. Tickets can
also be purchased at most local travel agencies.
Currently, it is not possible to enter Myanmar
without a valid tourist or business Visa. However,
visa applications only take a few days to process.
You can apply for an electronic visa online at
www.visa.gov.mm
or at your local Myanmar Embassy or Consulate. Learn

One misconception about visiting Myanmar is that you
must buy a tour package before traveling and then
change 200-300 USD into Foreign Exchange
Certificates on arrival. This is no longer the case.
You are free to make your own travel arrangements
and you don't need to change any money.
A word of caution:
At this time, credit cards are not accepted by any
merchant in Myanmar, so you might be better off
purchasing a tour while abroad, otherwise bring
adequate cash with you. |
